German car sales up 5 per cent year-on-year in last month

Sales of new vehicles in Germany increased 5 per-cent year-on-year to 272.500 cars in September, German vehicle organization VDA stated on Friday.

Sales of new diesel-powered cars was up 8 per cent during the month, for a market share of 47 percent versus gasoline and also various other engines, the organization claimed.
