UK Car Sales Up 5.9% in March, Ford at top

by SpeedLux

The car market in United Kingdom has shown some good signs with the growth of around 6% in March 2013. The growth is positive news for the industry and UK considering the fact that there has been slowdown in almost all other sectors across.

394,806 units were sold on the new 13-plates for the month of March and 605,198 units for the quarter ended March 2013 which was up by 7.4% from previous quarter. Infact the sales in UK have continuously rose for the past 13 months now and this makes Britain one of the most attractive markets right now.

Ford was again the leader of the pack as per the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). Fiesta has again proved to be the top seller with more than 20,000 units sold in a month followed by the Vauxhall Corsa and Ford Focus.
