Lovers of Asian imports must have been very familiar with such an automotive brand as Honda and the kind of vehicles it is capable of delivering. Most of the time, this particular Japanese automaker always knows how to please its customers with cool cars. Yet, as it turns out, Honda is not only cool when it comes to manufacturing cars but also creating interactive commercial for its new vehicles. This time around, the Japanese company has uploaded onto the web an interactive advertisement video for the purpose of promoting its 2015 Civic lineups. In the ad, there are two types of Civic involved, the standard version and the Type R version.

Appropriately dubbed ‘The Other Side’, this new promotional content from Honda looks and feels pretty awesome. For those interested simply in the standard version of the next generation Honda Civic, they can simply sit back and relax while enjoying the interactive commercial video. Yet, as for those who are keen on having a glimpse of what Honda’s wild side looks like, they can press and hold the R button anytime while the video is playing. By pressing and releasing the R button, viewers will be able to view both the standard and the Type R versions of the new Civic hatchback from the Japanese automaker. For the Type R, it has slightly different settings when compared to the standard version. For instance, whereas the standard version is fitted with an ECON button, the Type R comes with an R button.

Speaking of the 2015 Honda Civic Type R, it will arrive at the dealerships in Europe starting from next year. The model is slated to face the likes of the well-established VW Golf R as well as the new Ford Focus RS, whose launch is imminent. Yet, the new Civic is only going to count on a front-wheel-drive (FWD) chassis. Nonetheless, the car is set to beat the Nurburgring record once held by the French car, the Renault Megane RS275 Trophy R. The latter has a Nurburgring lap time of 7:54.36.
