Hyundai plans to launch electric vehicles in China by next year

Hyundai Motor Group said on Thursday it prepares to launch electric vehicles in China every year starting by 2022 to strengthen its presence in the country.

The automaker said it prepares to reveal a total of 21 EV models from Hyundai Motor and Kia Corp by 2030, including hybrid and fuel-cell vehicles.

The group said it prepares to reduce the number of its gasoline vehicle models to 14 in China from the present 21 by 2025.
