A Carthage man is alleged stealing a vehicle off a car-hauler over the weekend.

Carthage village police say 31-year-old Joshua Lalone reportedly cut a strap holding a 2013 Dodge Dart onto the trailer where it was parked on West End Avenue in Carthage, New York on Sunday.

He then allegedly ruined a ladder while using it as a ramp for the vehicle.

Lalone was charged on Thursday with fourth-degree grand larceny and two counts of third-degree criminal charges.

He has been arraigned virtually in Watertown city court and jailed on $5,000 bail or $25,000 bond.
