McLaren MP4-12C prototypes put through their paces in Arizona

by Alex

It is clearly visible and evident. That the McLaren team means business as the launch date of the MP4-12C supercar in the US draws closer. Hence, while a specimen of the MP4-12C is at display at Paris and is enthralling visitors and enthusiasts with its clean yet solid lines, 12 prototypes of the supercar are being put through their paces in the scorching and burning heat of the Arizona!

These 12 prototypes would be seen hitting the road which lies between the Lake Havasu City where the team has set up their bases and the town of Flagstaff, all to find out how the cars fare on the varying driving surfaces. And when these test would be carried out a 28 member team which includes engineers, technicians, and vehicle development partners who are responsible for the alteration in the test vehicles will be analyzing the test data. In fact, they have been running two VP cars and one XP car every day and night for over three weeks. Only the thing that we can hope of it is that the prototypes of this super car should be able to stand up to the scorching heat that can even reach 155 degrees Fahrenheit which is what the situation can be in that part of the world during this time.

In the US the dealers who would hold this MP4-12C in their kitty to sell them will be found in Beverly Hills, Chicago, Dallas, New York, San Francisco, Tampa Bay, Miami and Toronto. And for further reports and dealership in Newport Beach in Orange County, California, and Philadelphia will be announced by McLaren very soon.
