Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster will arrive at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show

by Adrian Hayden

AMG chief, Ola Källenius, said that the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster will make its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show next year. Ola Källenius said  that the car will make its debut as the biggest name of the brand in 2011. The SLS Roadster will be powered by AMG’s 6.3 liter (6,208cc) V8, which delivers 420 kW (571 PS / 563 hp) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. The car will accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in only 4.0 seconds and the top speed on the Roadster is 309 km/h (192 mph). One thing that the SLS AMG Roadster will not have are the gullwing doors of the standard SLS AMG. Of course, this will not be a problem for those who are thinking of buying the AMG version.
