by Alex

With the black CLS 550 that rolled off the production line for a US based customer, the end of the “four door coupes” from Mercedes-Benz was finally endorsed in real.  The CLS model from Mercedes-Benz had created waves and set trends in the industry during its time.

There is however good news for the Mercedes saloon fans and followers. The next generation of this model is on its way with the world premiere scheduled to be held end September at the Paris motor show.

It was in the year 2003 during the Frankfurt Auto Show that the first CLS had made its entry then being named the Vision CLS concept. Production had commenced the very next year. The option of engines that were available was the V6, V8 and the V6 turbo diesel. 170,000 units of this car have been sold since then worldwide.
