Motorpoint is set to resume all of its branches in England from June 1.

The UK’s largest independent car retailer, which was awarded Platinum status by Feefo recently for its customer service, will be welcoming members of the public through its doors from Monday onwards for the first time without no appointment since late March after new advice from the Government.

Motorpoint has been busy since mid-April providing Free Home Delivery throughout England, Scotland and Wales, as well as more recently, appointment-only Contactless Collections for consumers in England and Wales.

The government and automakers had enforced shutdowns of factories to control the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

Now, from June 1 onwards, customers is going to be able to once again visit their nearest Motorpoint branch in England seven days a week, including until 8pm weekdays, to navigate more than 5,000 cars and light commercial vehicles in stock from over 30 different manufacturers – all of them will be available for same day driveaway.

Furthermore, every vehicle comes with the balance of manufacturer’s warranty supported by the Motorpoint Price Promise. This means Motorpoint will refund the difference to any consumer under seven days of their order if they find the same car from a rival. As an added bonus, it will also give the customer £50 worth of Amazon vouchers to spend.

Mark Carpenter, Chief Executive Officer of Motorpoint, said: “We’re delighted to once again be able to fully open our doors to the public in England after the Prime Minister’s announcement.

“We have been working tirelessly behind the scenes in readiness for this moment, redesigning our processes in order to minimize contact and with it ensure customers and colleagues are COV19-secure at all times. I am sure I speak on behalf of the whole of Motorpoint when I say that we all look forward to welcoming consumers, old and new, back into our branches in England and, in the coming weeks, in Scotland and Wales.”

As part of this safeguarding process consumers will be able to test drive cars without someone from Motorpoint being present while all automobile collections will be completed in specially designated areas to guarantee social distancing all the time.

Motorpoint will keep operating its popular free home delivery service covering the whole of the UK mainland for those consumers who would prefer not to visit the branch, backed by its 14 day hassle free, money back guarantee. The free home delivery service is going to be available Monday to Friday.

Mark Carpenter said: “With our branches in England set to re-open from June 1, backed by industry leading services such as free home delivery and contactless collection, customers can choose to buy and receive their new car from Motorpoint in a way that best suits them while equally importantly staying safe at all times.”
