The new Aston Martin GT4

by Adrian Hayden

The Vantage GT4 2011 model has been revealed by Aston Martin Racing. As you can see, the car is inspired from the V12 Vantage, but Aston Martin says that the car will offer better aerodynamics and increased downforce. The new car based on the V8 Vantage road car now delivers more BHP and more torque. The car still has aluminium chassis, the same base engine and suspension as the Vantage V8.

Besides the aero and engine upgrades the customers will now be able to choose the race ABS and traction control system developed by Bosch. The new system developed by Bosch Motorsport now delivers enhanced performance both in wet and dry conditions.

The car has a new splitter mounted that increases downforce at the front and helps cooling for the brakes and radiator. At the back end of the car it is very easy to observe that the car now has a new carbon fibre diffuser and a new rear underfloor. The new underfloor has a very specific role: it channels cool air through a new rear-mounted oil cooler.
