by SpeedLux

Nissan has recently released the teaser image of the second generation of the Qashqai once again.

The company is trying its best to create a lot of buzz for the new Qashqai which will be revealed in full in the coming week. The company makes big claims such as “the most significant car in its modern history” for a model which has been “reinvented from the ground up” and can “redefine the crossover sector and set new standards.” Nissan states that the second-gen Qashqai has been developed and tested around the entire world in different weather conditions, while the fine-tuning was conducted at the company’s Technical Center Europe in UK.

Details are limited as of now but the crossover is expected to get a new 1.2-liter turbocharged DiG-T gasoline mill with output of 113 hp (84 kW) as well as two diesel engines – a 1.5-liter dCi rated at 108 hp (80 kW) and a 1.6-liter dCi engine outputting 128 hp (95 kW). The company has plans to offer the new Qashqai as a plug-in hybrid and /or as an EV but this is expected to happen at a later date during the car’s lifetime.
