Porsche Unveils the 2015 911 GTS

by SpeedLux

Every Porsche lover knows that the 911 has been one of the bestselling models that the German automaker has ever had in history. As such, it is only natural for the company to build even more models in the 911 lineups. So, Porsche has now unveiled the 911 GTS that will be cruising the streets in the year 2015.

One interesting aspect to note here is that the 2015 Porsche 911 GTS will be available in both convertible and coupe variants. The model will also be offered in two drivetrain options, a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) or an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system. The car also looks aggressive in front, thanks to the bi-xenon, tinted headlamps that are mated to engine vents colored in black. As for the rear part of the car, it features a set of wide rear fenders and black exhaust pipes decorated with chrome accents. The car also sports 20” wheels featuring matte black paint for the finishing touch.

Stepping into the cabin of the 2015 Porsche 911 GTS, there’s hardly any change except the fine upholstery wrapped in the Alcantara leather, from the sports seats to the dashboard and even the roof line.

The car in question hides 3.8L 6-cylinder engine under its hood, enabling it to deliver 430 PS of horsepower and a top speed exceeding 300 km/h. Mated to the PDK transmission from Porsche, the engine does not need more than four seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h. Yet, as for the convertible version of the model, it takes slightly longer at 4.2 seconds to reach the same speed level.

Of course, for such a fast car, safety is a crucial aspect that can’t be taken for granted. Therefore, Porsche has equipped the 2015 911 GTS with an active damper system it dubs the PASM system. Its function is to lower the height of the car by more or less ten millimeters. In addition to that, the car also features Porsche’s Sport Chrono package.

For those ken on buying this car, it will be offered for sale this upcoming November at the price of 117,549 Euros in its home country, Germany.
