Skoda Auto aims electric cars to comprise at least half of its sales in Europe by 2030 as it takes a shift from motor engines in the coming decade, the automaker said.

As part of its plan, the automaker will reveal at least three more all-electric models, adding to two models at present. The new models are going to be positioned below its Enyaq iV electric SUV.

The automaker has not set a date on when it will entirely move away from motor engines but wants to have 50-70% of its fleet in Europe with electric drive by 2030. Less than 5% of its present car sales are electric.

Fleet emissions should drop 50% during that time, the automaker said as part of its 2030 strategy goals announced on Thursday.
