The 2011 Chevrolet Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle will be unleashed starting April 2011

After 15 long years, the 9C1 Caprice is going to be back again in April 2011. The full Police (9C1) package will be launched in April 2011 with order beginning in January. In October, the 2011 will be marked off by release of Chevrolet Caprice 9C3 PPV in police detective pretense. PPV is abbreviated for Police Patrol Vehicle.

The defunct Pontiac G8 is the Caprice Police Patrol vehicle. A 6.0-liter V8 engine powers the super car by churning out a total of 355 HP in total power levels, while produced toque level is over 384 lb-feet of torque. The engine is integrated with a six-speed automatic transmission installed in the sports mode to distribute power to the rear wheels. Prominent among the other features of the car include those that have been designed specifically keeping the intended role of the in mind. The exclusive ‘police features’ that the car is equipped with consist of gun-holster cut-outs, front-only head-curtain airbags to allow for full prisoner partition, coolants for the engine oil, power steering fluid, transmission fluid, and StabiliTrack configured in the Police Performance Mode. Prominent among the other features of the car consists of cloth front seats, a 170-amp alternator, and a certified 160-mph speedometer. It is important to note, however, that the car is limited to a max speed of 130 mph.

Brian Small, General Manager at GM in charge of Fleet and Commercial Operations has reported that a V6 is likely to be released in the year 2012. According to Brian, extensive research of the target client’s requirements have gone into the making of the latest Police Patrol Vehicle (PPV). He added that his company came out with clear preferences from its clients, in the form of a large sedan with a rear-wheel drive and powerful V-8 engine. Therefore, the new Caprice cop car, according to Brian, offers more of both power and space than the predecessor Dodge Charger Police Pack.
