Software application problems are significantly bedeviling companies with Tesla Motors and Jaguar Land Rover leading the pack when concerns to the highest rate of flaws, as per brand-new study launched Tuesday.

Costumer complaints about vehicle software issues filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration rose 22% in 2015, as compared to a year previously, according to the new J.D. Power and Associates study, which examines NHTSA records and its own information together.

As the market’s dependence on software algorithms explodes, the variety of recalls is increasing, too. It reflects the fact that the vehicle has actually become a computer system on wheels, while also recognizing computers are prone to glitches.

The brands with the greatest rate of software grievances per 1,000 automobiles from 2011 to 2016 were Daimler’s Smart car, the stopped Japanese brand name Isuzu, California automaker Tesla, Chinese-owned Volvo, and sister luxury brand names Jaguar and Land Rover.

The brand names with the most affordable rate of software problems were General Motors’ Chevrolet and GMC; Fiat Chrysler’s Ram; Toyota; Mazda as well as Subaru.
