Three people are killed after an SUV sped through a red light, striking two pedestrians and struck into a truck flatbed close to Toronto’s waterfront on Thursday afternoon.

The crash took place at Lake Shore Boulevard West and Superior Avenue in Mimico just after 5:30 p.m. when a white SUV was traveling east at a high rate of speed when it “proceeded through a red light” and struck two pedestrians in a crosswalk before crashed with a parked tractor-trailer flatbed.

When officials attended the crash site they found the driver and the two pedestrians without vitals signs. Despite life-saving efforts, all three were pronounced dead at the scene.

Their identities haven’t been released yet.
