Three killed after car crashes into tree in Chula Vista

Three people and two family dogs were after a car crash on Saturday in Chula Vista, California.

The crash took place around 4 p.m. on East H Street when a car lost control and crashed into a tree.

A fourth passenger was getting treatment in hospital. His condition was critical.

A Nissan Sentra crashed head-on into a tree in the center median.

First responders tried to offer aid to the driver, but the driver was pronounced dead on the scene.

Two dogs inside the car were also pronounced dead at the scene.

Three of the car’s passengers were admitted to the hospital. Two of the passengers succumbed to their injuries there.

The identities of the victims were not released as of yet.

Chula Vista Police Department is investigating the crash. It is yet to be known what caused the crash.
