Three killed after train hits car in Marshall County

Three people were killed on Saturday afternoon after a crash involving a train in Marshall County.

The crash took place when a Toyota Corolla heading westbound along Depot Road crossed over some railroad tracks in Chapel Hill and was struck by a southbound train around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

The victims were identified as a 22-year-old named Duvraska Coronado who was driving the car, and two passengers, a 26-year-old named Magyory Coronado and a 29-year-old named Welengang Coronado.

They hailed from Nashville.

Tennessee Highway Patrol investigated the crash.

A GoFundMe page was started by boyfriend of Duvraska. It has raised $26,864 until now toward the goal of $36,000 for funeral expenses.
