Three killed after two-vehicle crash in Lafource Parish

Three people were killed after two-vehicle crash on Sunday, just after 5:00 a.m., in Lafourche Parish, Louisiana.

The crash took place at Louisiana Highway 308.

Victims have been identified as a 47-year-old named Grant Gremillion of Sulphur, 44-year-old Ramiro Pineda-Perez of Berwick, and 38-year-old Alexander Vigil from Morgan City.

The crash happened when Gremillion was traveling north on LA Hwy 308 with his 2013 Ford F-250, when Pineda-Perez was traveling south on LA Hwy 308 with a 2010 Chrysler 300.

The Ford crossed the centerline into the path of the Chrysler while in a right curve. Pineda-Perez tried to avoid a crash by steering to the right, but was hit by the Ford pickup. 

Gremillion, Pineda-Perez, and his passenger, Vigil, were all pronounced dead at the scene.

Louisiana State Police is investigating the crash.

It is yet to be known what caused the crash.
