Three people were killed and one person was injured following a car crash in Bastrop County on State Highway 21 near Voss Parkway, in Texas.

The crash took place around 3:10 p.m. on Monday when a Ford van towing a homemade trailer was traveling southwest on SH 21 as it tried to turn left into a gas station parking lot.

That time, a truck tractor was traveling northeast.

The van failed to yield right of way and it crashed with the truck.

Three occupants of the van were pronounced dead at the scene.

After the crash, the truck tractor then traveled off the south side of the highway, hitting an electric pole. The debris then hit a Chevrolet pickup that was traveling in the parking lot at this moment.

The truck driver was taken to a medical facility in Bastrop.

Texas Department of Public Safety investigated the crash.
