Toyota Motor said on Monday it would halt production at five factories in Japan in January over supply chain issues and chip shortages.

The automaker said that the stoppage at the plants will affect about 20,000 vehicles, but won’t affect their annual target to manufacture nine million vehicles.

Last week, the automaker said it was projecting a bigger decline in vehicle production in North America in January to 50,000 units because of supply chain issues.
