Two dead after car reportedly drove the wrong way on I-94 in Wisconsin

Two people are dead after one driver headed the wrong way on I-94 near CTH O in Jefferson County, Wisconsin, according to Wisconsin State Patrol.

The Wisconsin State Patrol says a car moving westbound on I-94 in the eastbound lanes, crashed with another driver heading eastbound on I-94 around 7:08 p.m. on Monday night.

The car driving the wrong way rolled over into the median and the driver was later pronounced dead while being on the way to the hospital, according to state patrol.

Officials further added the driver of the other car was pronounced dead on the scene and a passenger is being treated for injuries.

State patrol’s Waukesha Post is carrying out a reconstruction of the crash scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
