Two people died after a car got damaged between a large van and a semi-truck on the Trans-Canada Highway.

The crash took place around 11:20 a.m. Wednesday near Morley, Alta, on the west of Calgary.

Three people were taken to the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary.

The investigation determined three crashes took place.

A cube van moving east on Highway 1 near Morley Road veered into the westbound lanes before crashing with a car when a semi-truck travelling west hit the car.

The car couldn’t prevent the crash and was crushed between the two large vehicles.

After that, the semi-truck was then hit by a five-tonne truck.

Identities of the victims were not released as of yet..
