Two people were killed and a juvenile was flown to the hospital after a car crash east of Pueblo on Tuesday.
Officials were notified of the two-vehicle crash along Highway 50 near 36th Lane at about 3:45 p.m.
The crash took place when an 86-year-old woman was turning left onto Highway 50 from 36th Lane and a Ford F-350 driven by a 31-year-old man eastbound on Highway 50 struck her.
The 86-year-old woman died together with a juvenile in her car.
Another juvenile in the car driving by the 86-year-old woman was flown to the Children’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The 31-year-old man had small injuries.
The westbound lanes were reopened just before 5 p.m. Eastbound lanes were reopened about 7 p.m.
Colorado State Patrol is investigating the crash.
