Two drivers killed in car crash on I-5 in North Portland

Two drivers died after their vehicles collided on Interstate 5 early Saturday morning in North Portland, Oregon.

The Portland Police Bureau said it responded to reports of a car crash just after 5 a.m. on I-5 at N Greeley Avenue. Arriving officers discovered two cars had crashed and one of the drivers was declared dead at the scene.

The other driver was admitted to a nearby hospital with serious injuries but later succumbed to injuries.

Both victims were males; their identities are yet to be revealed after their families are notified.

Northbound lanes were closed during the investigation but were opened afterwards.

The cause of the crash is yet to be known.
