Two killed after car crash in Glendale, Arizona

Two people died following a car crash on Wednesday night in Glendale, Arizona.

The crash took place before 11 p.m. Wednesday near 59th Avenue and Camelback Road.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash when a sedan, heading eastbound from 59th Avenue on Camelback, and then made a left turn from the continuous left-turn lane.

The driver headed into a private drive when the vehicle was hit by an SUV traveling westbound on Camelback approaching 59th Avenue.

Both occupants in the sedan, both women, were killed.

A male driving one of the vehicles was processed for impairment.

The identities of those involved were not released.

Glendale Police Department carried out the investigation.
