Two women were killed after a car crash on Friday afternoon in Hendry County, Florida.
This crash took place 5 near the intersection of State Road 82 and Calumet Road.
Two women were traveling in a Honda CRV west on SR-82. They were in the outside lane when a man in a Dodge Ram pickup truck was traveling in the inside lane, just behind the SUV.
The SUV then tried to make a left turn toward the median. The front of the truck crashed with the left side of the SUV. The SUV rolled over and came to a stop in the median along SR-82.
The passenger of the SUV, a 47-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the CRV, a 39-year-old woman, was admitted to Lee Memorial Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
Both women were from Immokalee.
Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
