Two killed after three-vehicle crash in Coffee County

Two people were killed following a fatal car crash involving three cars in Coffee County, Tennessee on Sunday.

The victims have been identified as James Shaw, 62, of Estill Springs, and Dorothy Scott, 68, of Hillsboro.

The crash took place off I-24 on Wattendorf Memorial Hwy at Grady Finney Road when a 2009 Honda ODY was moving northbound on the road, and Shaw’s vehicle, a 2016 Ram 150, was driving behind it.

Scott’s vehicle, a 2011 Chevy HHR, was traveling southbound on the road when Shaw’s vehicle hit the Honda in the back and swerved into the left, crossing the center line and hitting Scott’s vehicle head-on.

A 36-year-old passenger in Shaw’s car was not critically injured at the scene.

Tennessee Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
