Two killed in crash with semi-truck in Christian County, Illinois

A Morrisonville couple died after their vehicle crashed with a semi-truck outside of Morrisonville in Christian County, Illinois on Tuesday.

95-year-old Carl Adden, who was driving, was thrown from his Cadillac. He was declared dead at the scene according to Illinois State Police.

Adden’s wife, 92-year-old Isabelle Adden, who was inside the car, was flown from the scene of the accident to HSHS St. John’s Hospital where she was declared dead at 10:29 p.m. on Tuesday by hospital staff.

The accident took place at county roads 500 East and 500 North, about one mile east of Morrisonville in the afternoon.

Carl Adden did not stop for a stop sign and the car was hit by the semi-truck.
