Two people killed after car crash in Etobicoke

Two people died after a two-car crash in north Etobicoke, Ontario.

The crash took place after 4 p.m. July 20 near Carlingview Drive and Constellation Court, east of Pearson International Airport.

One of the vehicles struck into a pole and flipped over, while the other vehicle went inside a building.

Two were found to have serious injuries. Officials worked to extricate them from the vehicle.

A woman was pronounced dead at the scene and another person died in the hospital.

The crash may have resulted in a gas leak and some buildings are being evacuated.

Roads near the crash are currently off-limits as the Toronto police’s Traffic Services unit was investigating the crash.
