Update: First Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Accident in Italy Caused By a Journalist – New Details and Photos

If you’re one of our readers, than you might remember that a few weeks ago we reported about the very first Lamborghini Aventador crash. Well, it seems that the crew over at Autorevue decided it was time to confess their doings and reveal that the man behind the steering wheel was one of their own, Thomas Glavinic.

Happened on August 30th 2011 in Padua, Italy, this is the first Lamborghini Aventador crash.  According to the folks from Carscoop, the Austrian magazine confesses in its most recent issue that one of its drivers was trying to to overtake a large lorry on an Italian highway when it suddenly turned left, hit the truck and ended up in a ditch hitting a metal pole.

According to GTspirit, the white press car was used by Top Gear to do their road test of the Italian bull. The magazine stated:

“We are not proud of it, but we chrashed the first ever Lamborghini Aventador. Austrian Bestseller-Author Thomas Glavinic, who is writing for our sportscar-issue was driving the Lamborghini Aventador. We were heading towards Adria Raceway, a racetrack in Italy. Then the crash happend. Thomas was not too fast. A truck, which changed the lines, just hit him.”
