Woman and two children killed after motorhome crash in Yorkshire

A woman and two children were killed in a crash involving a motorhome and a lorry in Yorkshire on Tuesday night.

The 44-year-old woman, a nine-year-old girl and a five-year-old boy were passengers in the grey motorhome which crashed with a white HGV on the A64.

A six-year-old boy, who was also travelling in the motorhome, and the driver, a 48-year-old man, had been admitted to hospital. Their injuries were not life-threatening.

The lorry driver was not injured.

The road was closed between Barton-le-Willows and Flaxton for some hours before reopening again.

North Yorkshire police has urged witnesses of the crash to contact them.
