2 killed and 2 injured after car crash in Moorpark

Two people died and two others were injured following a car crash in Moorpark, California on Monday afternoon.

The crash took place at about 3 p.m. near the intersection of Grimes Canyon Road and Meadowglade Drive.

It is not clear what resulted in the crash.

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two others were admitted to the hospital, one was flown and the other one was by ground.

California Highway Patrol had asked drivers to avoid the area for some hours. They urged drivers to use the 118 Freeway or Balcom Canyon Road for the time being.
