2 killed after car crash on Route 68 in Connecticut

Two people were killed on Route 68 after a car crash near Barnes Road in Wallingford, Connecticut on Tuesday.

The crash took place when a man was driving eastbound on Route 68 when he crashed with another vehicle that was traveling westbound. The crash took place around 3:30 p.m.

Both were admitted to Yale-New Haven Hospital where they later were pronounced dead.

The victims have been identified as Prabhudas Patel, 83, of Wallingford who was driving eastbound, and Stephanie Napolitano, 46, of Meriden who was traveling westbound.

Traffic was affected for several hours following the crash.

Wallingford Police is investigating the crash and has urged people at (203) 294-2819 with any information if they have information related to the crash.
