2 students of Judson University killed in a four-vehicle crash in Illinois

Two Judson University students were killed and two others were injured following a four-vehicle crash on Tuesday at Route 31 near the entrance to the campus in Elgin, Illinois.

Dallas Colburn of Plano and Nathanael Madison of Wernersville, Pennsylvania, died in the vehicle crash, which took place at about 9:15 p.m. in the vicinity of Judson Drive and State Street.

Two other students, whose identities were not provided but who are from Michigan and Indiana, were treated at Advocate Sherman Hospital for injuries. Their condition was not serious. One has since been released from the hospital.

These four students were seniors in Judson’s architecture program.

The vehicle carrying the Judson students was heading south on State Street and turning east onto Judson Drive.

Three vehicles heading north on State Street then became involved in a chain-reaction crash with the vehicle carrying the students.

Togethre with the four students, two others were injured in the vehicle crash and admitted to the hospital. Their injuries that were not serious.

Elgin police is investigating the crash. It is yet to be known if any charges will be levied on anybody.
