2014 Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG PETRONAS Green Edition launched in Japan [video]

Mercedes-Benz has recently unveiled a Japan-only “PETRONAS Green Edition” of the A45 AMG hot hatchback.

The limited-run model was produced to celebrate the oil company’s involvement with Mercedes-Benz’s Formula 1 team and is based on the Edition 1 variant. It has been configured with an AMG aerodynamic package and comes with a Cirrus White exterior paint adorned with green graphics and carbon fiber mirrors.

Other highlights of the model include black multi-spoke 19-inch alloy wheels with green accents that are can be found on the front splitter as well. Talking about the interiors, a similar green detailing can be found inside the cabin as well on the steering wheel, seats, door sill plates, paddle shifters, gear shifter and on the air vent bezels.

The company has further announced that the production will be limited to just 30 units and all the units will be sold in Japan. The model will come fitted with the standard 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that will be able to generate an output of 360 HP (265 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque.
