3 killed after car strikes into construction equipment in California

Three people in a Tesla car were killed after the car struck construction equipment on the Pacific Coast Highway in Newport Beach, California on Thursday.

Three construction workers were injured following the crash.

The crash took place at about 12:45 a.m. on Newport Beach’s Mariners Mile strip.

A Tesla Model S struck a curb, then struck into equipment on the other side of the street.

Officers discovered three people dead inside the damaged car.

These victims have been identified as Wayne Walter Swanson Jr., 40, Crystal M. McCallum, 34, and Andrew James Chaves, 32.

The construction workers who were injured were not going through life-threatening injuries.
