Three people were killed in a car crash on NC-57 in Orange County on Thursday morning.

The area remained closed until around 10 a.m., according to North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene. Third one died at the hospital.

Officials revealed the identities of the involved.

Timothy Dylan Williams, 21, was driving a Hyundai car at a high rate of speed when he went off the road to the right and over-corrected throughout the center lane and into the path of an oncoming Ford Edge which was occupied by Ricky Willard, 53, and Regina Willard, 55.
