Four killed after multi-vehicle crash in Moore County, North Carolina

A family of four died after a vehicle crash on US Highway 1 in Moore County, North Carolina.

Their car hydroplaned in the rain and struck into an 18-wheeler on Friday afternoon.

The car was traveling southbound when it hydroplaned throughout the highway and hit the 18-wheeler in the northbound lane, according to North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

Officials released the identities of the four victims as Tesmond Thomas, 28; LaTanya Jones, 26; Levi Thomas, 6; and Judah Thomas, 4.

All four victims were from Aberdeen.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was admitted to the hospital. His injures were not life-threatening.
