Two people died and four others were injured following a car crash on Interstate 4 in Sanford, Florida on Sunday.

A 64-year-old male from Deltona was driving east on I-4 near State Road 46, before 1 a.m., before losing control of his car and hit the guardrail, according to said Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

His vehicle then swerved back onto the highway and was struck by a pickup truck traveling in the same direction.

A 57-year-old woman inside his vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man was admitted to Central Florida Regional Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
