The tuning company Expression Motorsport has come out with a wide body kit for the outgoing model of Mercedes-Benz’s flagship CL65 AMG. A facelift job from Mercedes-Benz, brought in only recently covers both the standard and the AMG versions.
A new front bumper with daytime running lights is one of the prominent features of the kit. The daytime running lights are based on the LED technology and halogen fog lights. The side air intakes, of the sports sedan, also integrate the new lighting elements. The other offering from the package are comprised of elements such as wheel arch extensions and new side skirts in a bold design. The back of the vehicle also receives a fresh bumper design.
Under the hood changes are related to the engine, integrating a massive diffuser that has four air fins along with a quadruple exhaust tips in an oval design. However, the tuning company, Expression Export, doesn’t offer any technical changes in this modification pack which is a significant negative aspect of the package. It is also reported that there are no changes in the factory stock V12 power-plant.
The sports sedan is powered by a 612 hp engine, which has a displacement of 6.0 liters, delivering over 738 lb-ft in torque levels amounting to 1000 Nm. The large coupe, enabled by these change, can be driven to accelerate from 0 mph to 62 mph i.e. the speed of 100 km/h in a mere 4.2 seconds. The sports sedan is installed with an electronic speed limiter which when activated, it electronically limits the top speed of the car to 155 mph which is equivalent to 250 km/h.
