Audi A1 Black and Contrast Special Editions: Official Info and Specs

by Zack Colt

The ones that will be able to order two new special editions of the current Audi A1, namely the Black Edition and Contrast Edition are the British customers, which I suppose are very pleased.

Few aestethic improvements have been brought to the Black Edition in the interiour due to its new set of 18-inch alloy wheels, new Xenon Plus headlights with LED daytime running lights and also tinted rear windows.
The German automaker put a high-performance audio system with an output of 180 watts and also a new climate control system in the interiour of the car, the Black Edition being available with a 1.4-liter TFSI petrol engine developing 185 horsepower or along with a new 2.0-literTDI unit producing 143 horses.
The Audi A1 Contrast Edition brings few improvements at the exteriour, which include a set of 17-inch alloy wheels and an aerodynamic package.

According to Audi, the Black Edition is £1,100 more expensive than the equivalent S line model, while the Audi A1 Contrast Edition can be ordered with any unit in the range.

Besides these two special editions, Audi also brings to us a new 2.0-liter TDI engine offering 143 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque which is coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox and kicks the German model from 0 to 100 km/h in 8,2 seconds.
