BMW Brilliance Automobile, a joint venture between BMW and Chinese automaker Huachen Auto Group, has presented its 4 millionth locally produced BMW car off the production line in Shenyang, China.

The 4 millionth car, the new BMW iX3, includes new-generation BMW power batteries. The car is fully electric. It boasts a range of up to 500 km and average power consumption of 16.7 kWh per 100 km.

“We will take this four millionth vehicle of BMW Brilliance as a milestone to continuously develop our production capacities in Shenyang plants,” said Franz Decker, senior vice president of technology & manufacturing of BMW Brilliance.

Decker said the company is going to have three expansion projects — Tiexi new plant and Plant Dadong Extension and R&D Center Phase 2 Extension — put into use in 2022.
