A car crashed Sunday with a freight train at the Wolf Road crossing, Illinois, according to Western Springs police.

The car’s passengers suffered no injuries but were admitted to the La Grange hospital as a precautionary measure.

About 1:30 p.m., the driver, a 37-year-old woman, and a 38-year-old man were headed south on Wolf Road at Hillgrove Avenue when their car crashed into the second compartment of a westbound freight train, according to a Western Springs police news release.

They were in a 2016 Toyota SRS.

The investigation remains ongoing, police said.
