by Alex

Challenger Supercharger Package from Lingenfelter Performance Engineering (LPE) claims to boost the performance characteristic of the 2008-2010 Dodge Challenger. The Hemi 5.7 liter and 6.1 liter engines are tuned by this package by incorporating a Magnuson TVS 2300 intercooled supercharger system in black powder coat finish, a 160 degree thermostat, properly sized fuel injectors and a high flow air intake system. There is also the option of going for a chrome upgrade to the supercharger case. The 6.1 liter engine when installed on a Mustang Chassis dyno the results achieved were 373 HP and 355 lb ft of torque. After applying the tuning kit to the engine the power went up to 500 hp and 450 lb ft torque at 6 psi boost.

Engineers at the tuning firm are confident that they would be able to tune the Challengers for giving improved performance. Ken Lingenfelter, the owner of the firm exudes this confidence garnered from the record 12.03 seconds that the Lingenfelter 6.1L took at the Muncie Dragway in Indiana running at 120 mph. With its wide experience in engine tuning the firm, as the owner will like us to believe has the ability to fine tune most any engine to give greater performance statistics for those enthusiasts who want it so.

The package that the firm offers includes installation, testing, custom calibration, and before and after chassis dyno reports that document the improvements. The time taken to install the Dodge Challenger Supercharger Package is 1 to 2 weeks and a pre-scheduled appointment needs to be taken for the work. The Lingenfelter Company issues a certificate of authenticity at end of work and the package carries a warranty of 3 years or 36,000 miles. The contact number of the company is 260.724.2552.
