Koenigsegg One:1 to do at least 450 km/h

by SpeedLux

Christian von Koenigsegg recently unveiled some info about the company’s upcoming and one of the most awaited models, the One:1.

The name “One:1” has been derived from the weight-horsepower ratio which will be a true 1:1 since most other models achieve this by measuring dry weight while the One:1 will have it including water, oil, fuel and other fluids. Christian further stated that the car will generate an output of mind-boggling 1,400 hp (1,044 kW).

Talking about speed, Koenigsegg’s computers have shown that the car will be the fastest in covering the distance of 0-124 mph (0-200 kmph), 0-186 mph (0-300 kmph) and the 0-248 mph (0-400 kmph). This can be judged from the fact that the Swedish company has mentioned that touching the 248 mph mark from a standstill will take just about 20 seconds, which would make it 25 seconds quicker than the mighty Veyron.

The model will have a top speed of at least 280 mph (450 kmph) which is significantly more than the top speed of 258 mph (415 km/h) of the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport World Record Edition. Actually the unrestricted Veyron WRE can hit a top speed of 268 mph but the production version was sold with an electronic top speed limiter and the same could also happen with the One:1 as well.
