Next Generation Lotus Evora Spied

by SpeedLux

It has been quite a while since the British automotive brand, Lotus, launched its last vehicle model. The company has been idle for the few recent years. However, it seems that the company is actually trying to work out its magic and is prepping a new vehicle model to surprise and delight its fans and loyal customers alike. Believe it or not, someone has manage to catch up with what seems to be the 2016 model year Lotus Evora and has actually captured images of the vehicle on camera.

According to the latest reports in the automotive industry, the British automaker will have its next generation Evora debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, which is going to happen very imminently. Designed to be a facelift, the 2016 Lotus Evora will be coming with a restyled front grille, newly designed front bumper, large air intakes and also LED daytime running lights on its front fascia. Yet, as for the rear fascia of the vehicle, customers may well expect the appearance of elements similar to the current Evora, only with a new, aggressively looking rear diffuser and a new rear wing spoiler. For the interior, it seems that there will not be too many changes. The instrument panel looks familiar and so do the three-spoke steering wheel and the round air vents.

In terms of performance, the 2016 Lotus Evora will most likely pack an engine similar to that of its predecessor, only with some minor tweaks to increase its power. There are no official details yet on this but judging by the present generation model, the car may come with a 3.5L V6 engine capable of 276 bhp and 349 Nm of power and torque. Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h can be accomplished in about 4.8 seconds and the car has a top speed of 262 km/h.
