Nissan’s China passenger and light vehicle sales increased 70.6%

Nissan Motor’s passenger and light vehicle business in China boosted unit sales by 70.6% year on year in the first three months of 2021, the automaker said in a statement on Wednesday.

It sold 352,352 vehicles in the quarter.

Dongfeng Motor Company continues to remain the most important partner of Nissan.

Overall, China saw about 9.66 million newly registered motor vehicles during the first quarter of 2021, a record high for the same period in any year, the Ministry of Public Security said on Tuesday.
