Nissan working on Rogue & Murano Hybrids

by SpeedLux

In a recent presentation given by Nissan at it’s 360 event, the company reportedly confirmed plans of offering hybrid versions of the next-generation Rogue and Murano.

Nissan North America’s senior vice president of research and development, Carla Bailo, declined to give further details about the model and also did not mention as to when the models are expected to be introduced in the market. However he did mention in one of the interviews that they would use the same hybrid system as the Pathfinder Hybrid.

This means we can expect the kit to come equipped with a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, an electric motor, a lithium-ion battery and a continuously variable transmission. In the Pathfinder Hybrid, the hybrid system is able to deliver a combined maximum output of 250 hp (186 kW) and 243 lb-ft (329 Nm) of torque.

No details have been given and nothing is out yet about the models but we do expect that the company would reveal details in coming time. In terms of pricing, again details are not available but the company has indicated that the model would be priced aggressively.
