Pagani – the European supercar maker has indicated its plans to set up outlets for its products in the Indian market. This comes shortly after Ferrari announced the launch of their cars in the Indian supercar segment. The presence of many of its cars in the country as well as its other goods that continues to be in demand is the reason Ferrari have cited to have a stronger presence in India. Also with other big players in the segment like Aston Martin, Bugatti and Lamborghini already in the scene, the supercar segment in India just got a lot more interesting.
Pagani would have their Huayra model for sale in the Indian market as per reports from Rush Lane magazine. The car has a max power rating of 700 hp and would cost a cool INR 15 million or $330,000 approximately. Pagani hopes to achieve a sales figure of 10 units per year in this market. Dubbed the “God of Wind”, the car had made its first appearance at the Geneva Motor Show and has been one of the most keenly awaited car world wide.
With it’s out of the ordinary looks the car indeed makes other cars look small in the field of performance. The chassis has been constructed mostly with carbon fiber. For styling the car has features like gullwing doors, slats, flares and sweeps which in total gives the car a bold look. For engine the car has an AMG twin-turbo V12 engine and it delivers more than 700hp and about 740 lb-ft or 1,003 Nm of torque. The power is transmitted to the rear wheels by a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
